The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry encompasses the major subjects viz. Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharma organic & inorganic Chemistry at undergraduate level & Advance medicinal, Advance organic chemistry and Advance Pharmaceutical Chemistry at post-graduation level. Qualified & experienced faculty of the department nurture and instill the concepts and knowhow of latest technology in the students and also engaged in state of the art research as well as guiding the Ph.D. & M. Pharm. students. The major thrust areas of research of the department are computational chemistry, synthesis of bioactive compounds & analytical developmental work. The department is committed to have the best infrastructure & facilities so as to ensure standards of excellence in teaching, hands on training & research work. The instrumental facilities of the department include flash chromatograph, FTIR, parallel synthesizer, spectrophotometers, ultra-sonicator, microwave oven and docking-QSAR softwares. The department received the funds from AICTE, DST & UGC for major & minor research projects. The major outcome of the department includes publication of research work in high impact factor journals, publication, filing of patents & collaborative research with research laboratories & research institutes.
